What Does a Hospice Social Worker Do

Well, I like the story. There’s always something I’m going to learn, uh, with someone because I like the story. So that’s one way. And if we’re looking at outside life, it’s really the things that people have taught me, right? It’s pay attention to time. Be in the moment, try to be balanced, try to show up for life. There isn’t a time that you don’t think about someone who is in that hospital bed and their big world got small and they can’t even go down to the hall that when I might be feeling a little less motivated, might motivate me to participate in life because it’s short and someday someone’s going to tell me to pay attention to time. So that’s why I do it. I try to pay attention to time. And in the moment I may try to show up.
